JUNCTION CUT  is the story of a small close-knit working class community and the effect the murder of 15 year old Valerie Yeovil has on them.  It introduces Dectective Chief Inspector Jack Stamford and Sergeant Sarah McNeill.
 
GOOD HOPE STATION is set around the staff of an Auxiliary Fire Station in North London nicked 'Good Hope'.    The blitz is raining down on London and moral in the Station is in danger of being affected by a series of anonymous letters.  DCI Stamford is called in to start a discreet investigation.

BALACLAVA ROW.   DCI Jack Stamford and Sgt Sarah McNeill investigate the death of a local jeweller and become entangled in the lives of a young war widow and the neglected child she unofficially 'adopts'.
 
CUTTER'S WHARF.   The Cutters run a building firm from the canal wharf that was named after them.  Taz Dixon and his sister operate a canal boat hauling essential supplies through the blitz-torn countryside.  When Addie Dixon is attacked and left for dead Sgt Sarah McNeill finds herself stuck with the less than sympathetic Inspector Harry Spain.
