Out now.....

My contact with the paranormal started the day I knocked someone out with half a cow....

Mild mannered Stuart Roberts suffers from nightmares where he remembers committing a murder (possibly two) and wants to know could this be true?  Grace doesn't want to take the case on the grounds that murders tend to mean there's a killer around somewhere and she'd rather pass - thanks very much.

But these are killings with a difference:  they took place nearly thirty years before Stuart was born.

Despite her scepticism Grace has never been able to resist the lure of an unlimited expense account, so she takes the job.

Add in a flatulent bulldog with attitude, an ageing rock star (whose family have the attitude), a voice from the past and the realisation that her client isn't quite what he appears to be......

One of my favourite fantasies consists of someone saying: 'I'm filthy rich, and I've decided to make a will leaving the lot to a complete stranger, I've chosen you.'

This morning Barbra Delaney looked me in the eye and said:

Barbra hands Grace photographs of three complete strangers and tells Grace to trace them so she can will her dear departed husband's fortune to them.

But as Grace tracks down the threesome, she discovers that all of them have good reasons for not wanting someone poking around in their lives.      In the midst of trying to cope with a milestone birthday she doesn't want anyone to know about, a teenager with raging hormones, and a new bloke who has some very odd habits, Grace becomes involved in a series of increasingly violent events that culminate in a very nasty death.   It seems that someone will stop at nothing...even murder...to stop her....

'With a cast of colourful characters  (including a feisty and witty heroine) and some sparkling dialogue, this is an energetic, fast moving and confident little novel.   Worth checking out.'  (Sunday Mirror)

'Liz Evans becomes more impressive and funnier by the book' (Marcel Berlins, The Times)
